Located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is the small capital of the Alpilles. Following the decree of January 30, 2007, its territory is classified within the Alpilles Regional Natural Park.
